We are conducting a targeted search for a Civil Designer / Structural Designer to work for our Energy client in Cincinnati, OH
Length of W-2 Contract Assignment: 12+ months renewable assignment
Pay Rate: $38.00/Hour W-2 (straight W-2, no relocation assistance, expense reimbursement or benefits)
Corp-Corp Rate: No Corp-Corp, No Third Party or Visa EAD supported by this Client
Work Authorization Required: US Citizen, Green Card Holder, those Authorized to work in the US
Education: Bachelor?s Degree
Relevant Experience: 5 years of Civil / Structural Design Engineering Experience

Designer - Civil/Structural Local Candidates Preferred
Under general direction, this candidate will create civil/structural engineering design drawings, utilizing approved standards to support the construction or maintenance of electric utility substation facilities. Main effort involves creating drawing plans and sections for grading, grounding, steel fabrication, equipment layout, control buildings, and cable/conduit runs. Assists in developing standards, evaluating equipment, preparing schedules and estimates, and providing technical assistance to Operating personnel.
Required qualifications ? 2-year degree in civil/structural engineering (4-year degree acceptable); 5 years experience in structural (steel) design; 3-5 years AutoCAD experience, including scanning software; 1-2 years Autodesk Inventor experience; 5-7 years experience in construction drawing preparation (plans and sections); valid driver?s license. The focus of the position is for the candidate to have software experience with Autodesk Inventor.
Desired qualifications ? Civil design experience (grading); utility (high-voltage) experience; field construction experience; steel fabrication experience. Hiring manager is not interested in candidates with Design/Drafting degrees; Masters degrees; Non-technical degrees; Construction, Project Management, or Supervisory aspirations.
