for one of our 5 star hotels in the country.

The role of a Hotel

telephone Operator is to accept, deliver and respond to Guest and

management messages, enquiries and emergencies and uses their

knowledge of the hotel facilities, services, and the local vicinity

to quickly respond to the customer.
The Key Performance Indicators for our Hotel

Telephone Operators are:
To communicate

with both internal and external customers in a polite and

constructive manner. To actively promote the services and facilities

to guests and suppliers of the hotel. To record and process all

guest messages through a computer, according to procedure. To record

and deliver promptly guest wake up calls. To maintain the whole

switchboard rooms, to keep it neat, clean and tidy. To attend as

required to the maintenance of guest or internal hotel telephones. To

ensure the correct operation of the switchboard to effect the fast

and efficient transferring of internal and external calls. To be

fully conversant with the operation of all emergency procedures,

facsimile machines, mail, internal and external paging system and

business center. To assist guests on telephone usage; dialing codes,

tones, time difference and charges. To ensure and maintain the

security of information relating to customers and personnel in the

hotel. To ensure a high level of customer service is consistently

maintained. To be responsible for relaying important information to

relevant departments/staff/guests regarding fire alarm, bomb threats

and life threatening situations. To ensure a high level of product

knowledge for all area throughout the hotel.
Desired Skills & Experience include

Positive attitude and good communication

skills, especially on the telephone. Commitment to delivering a high

level of customer service. Ability to work on your own and as part of

a team. Competent level of IT proficiency. Previous experience in a

customer-focused industry. Excellent & fluent command in English

and local languages.
